Enjoying Yokohama’s skyline
Not far from Tokyo there is Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan by population and the capital of Kanagawa prefecture. The city lies just next to Tokyo Bay, south of Tokyo, and it’s famous for being one of the major ports in Japan but also for its architecture and breathtaking views. For many Yokohama skyline is one of the most futuristic-looking in the world, white and clean, adorned with a big wheel and colorful lights.
But, what’s the best point to enjoy these views? Well, there are a few, but I would recommend you to go to Osanbashi Pier, located between Minato Mirai and Yamashita Park. It’s a terminal where international ships cruise dock, and one can go by foot to its wooden “roof” to enjoy, for free, the amazing Yokohama’s skyline. Here a couple of pictures took from there:
